WHO SHOULD ATTEND?  Those with little knowledge; returning to the workforce and who wish to produce electronic or printed paper documents which look professional.

PREREQUESITE:  It is expected that participants will be familiar with the basic operating systems, and basic windows operations such as selecting a program, opening and closing files and saving files.

RESOURCES:  As part of the course you will be asked to bring with you a USB (thumb drive) to save your work onto.

OUTCOMES

This Course is designed to introduce students to Microsoft Word.  The Course will allow students to –

·        Understand and utilise the basic features of Word

·        Make use of the Office Assistant and Help menu

·        Open, create, edit, save, enter text

·        Cut, copy and paste information in and around documents

·        Insert page breaks

·        Format pages and layouts

·        Change screen views

·        Understand Bulleting and Numbering

·        Insert Comments

·        Use the find and replace function

·        Print documents

·        Use the spell checker
