Tai Chi Chuan

T'ai Chi is popular around the world as a soft, slow moving, meditative exercise that with regular practice improves health and well being. T'ai Chi aims, through correct practice, to harmonize the mind, body and spirit. The theory and practice of T'ai Chi have developed over hundreds of years. The style that is taught in this class is a traditional Yang Style Long Form and Short Form which is taught throughout China and most of Asia.

What is Tai Chi Chuan?

Tai Chi Chuan is one of the Internal or Soft Styles of T'ai Chi. Its main form involves moving slowly with regulated and coordinated breathing to relax the body and develop the flow of Chi (Qi). Classes involve basic general exercises, T'ai Chi movements and breathing exercises. It is suitable for people of all ages and all levels of fitness. Practiced regularly, T'ai Chi may lead to reduced stress, increased flexibility, improved muscle strength, increased energy and increased feeling of well-being.
