Home Interior Design & Styling

This course is for beginners and those with an interest in learning how to make your home a source of joy and inspiration with practical advice, guides and tips on how to get the best from every space you live in. We will look at topics including: basic design principles, applying them to kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, etc.; decluttering and organising; the ins and outs of furniture, lighting, window coverings, flooring and storage. We will examine how to analyse images by looking beyond the styling, and in each class we will explore a participants’ specific project to help find solutions.

Improving your Photography

If you want to improve your photography and understand more about your cameras, this course is for you.  It doesn't matter if you use a phone camera, a digital SLR or something in between, or if you are new to photography or just wanting to improve your images, this course will give you a better understanding of photography and digital cameras. The course aims to help you by learning more about how cameras work and some of the camera settings and adjustments that can improve your images. Some sessions will include a demonstration of using Adobe Lightroom to adjust images to appear as you intended.


Horticulture

Growing Vegetables , Fruits , Flowers , Plants , makes good sense - it is fun , it is a challenge and it saves you money


Knitting a Highlander's Hat

Students will knit a hat to wear in the cooler weather. They will learn how to knit in both the English and Continental manner, knit & purl, cast on & off, knit in the round, use a second colour to make a pattern, pick up lost stitches, increase & decrease. Keen students can felt their hat and make a toorie at the end.


Calligraphy

Learn how to master an array of different writing styles, in Nibs and pens,from Roman lettering, Copperplate and round foundation. Learn about Layouts, Spacing, How to use the pen correctly, copying, tracing and making a paper gift tag with fancy lettering.


Creative Writing

Learn the basics of short story writing, Bringing your characters to life, Setting the scene, Description of places, Building Landscapes, Making your short story pop, Profiling and Cast of characters. Reading and discussing a variety of books which will show you all about great writers and their styles.


Astrology 101
   
This course will provide an introduction to the fundamental building blocks of astrology, its astronomical foundation, and a basic understanding of birth chart interpretation.


Reading the Tarot

The Tarot can help bring clarity and perspective into your life. Many people use these cards as a powerful tool for personal growth and insight.
